| On Sunday's I dress super casual - jeans, t-shirt, hoodie, tennis shoes. |
| Removal of hoodie as it was 80 degrees in the desert this weekend |
The magazine article also listed Denizen jeans from Target which are suppose to shape your thighs and give some tummy control. I'll have to check these jeans out.

Did you know they make socks especially for the 'chuck taylor' style shoe?

Hope you are all having a restful 3-day weekend.
Cheers, Monica

Hi Amy,
DeleteThanks for stopping by. I left a comment on your blog :-)
Monica.
Monica...I like the jeans on you. I know that your other pictures may tell a different story, as I often feel that way myself about many of my pictures and about jeans in particular. You do look good in this picture.
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
DeleteThanks. I think the back pockets are not very 'slimming' as I couldn't believe how w i d e my rear end looked in those photos. In general, the fit is good .. but it must have been an 'off' day for photos. Perhaps I can blame the photographer (the spouse .. lol).
M.
Well, I think they look great from these photos. I sure am not a fan of small pockets on the rear though. I don't even attempt to try those on. I love DKNY jeans at Macy's. My favorites for years.
ReplyDeleteHi Joni,
DeleteThanks for stopping by. I also have a pair of DKNY jeans that I picked up at TJ Maxx that are awesome.
Monica.
These pictures don't look bad at all. But if they don't make you feel good than you will not wear it. This weekend, I wore my bootcut jeans with flats and realize it was a BIG mistake - I looked so stumpy. It's crazy how jeans can make women feel fat!

Hi Alice,
DeleteYes, it's amazing how some jeans look great and some are just plain awful depending on how you wear 'em.
Monica
those look great! you are darling!

Well, I think you look great in that photo! (Though after reading your comments, it seems like the back was the issue?) At least you tried, though. It's weird how some pants are just plain unflattering compared to others.

The rear shot which looked oh, so cute in the NYDJ photo .. looked horrendous in the Lee jeans, so it was a bit disappointing. I’ve been wearing the jeans for a while and the fit is quite good, but I had no idea my butt looked so big :-P
DeleteMonica.
whaaaaattt!!!! i NEED those socks for my chuck obsessed self! thanks for the tip!

Hi Natalie,
DeleteI just happened to see the socks on my way over to check out. I think I got 3 pairs for $12 (?) .. can't recall the exact price. I have to wear socks with most shoes, but don't like the sock showing .. so these low cut ones are perfect.
Monica.
love casual sundays! I think you look great! xx. gigi. food and beauty blogger @ www.gigikkitchen.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHi Gigi,
DeleteI just can't be bothered to figure out what goes with what on a Sunday .. lol.
Monica.
These look amazing on you, are you kidding?! I always try on the Target Denizen jeans when they come out with the ones with cute patterns and they are NEVER flattering on me which is such a bummer ;( Their hip huggers and sit too low on my hips which just doesn't work for me, ah well.

Hi Katie,
DeleteI did try on the Target Denizen jeans and I'm sad to report that these jeans gap in the back of the waist on me. So sad because the jeans are really cute!
Monica.
They look pretty fit on you . Though you may have realized better :) But I guess Denizens' result would be more comfy for you !
ReplyDeleteI'm your new follower . Come to my blog sometimes :)

I love having casual sundays and although this is a really chilled and laid back look - you totally rock it! I had no idea they made socks for the 'chuck taylor' style of shoe - I guess you learn something new every day! Your blog is really lovely, I'm definitely following :)
